What size nerd belt should I choose?

Hip belts

Our hydration belts (hip belts), NB400, NB600, NB600 Groove, NBracer and Phone belts are one-size adjustable and designed to fit most runners comfortably. They adjust via a secure elastic strap and buckle, so you can fine-tune the fit for training, racing, or layering over winter gear. 

Belts size guide:
Hip measurements 71 - 110cm hips or 28 - 45 inches
 

Waist belts

Our NBreverse, waist belt is available in two adjustable sizes and is designed to fit snugly and comfortably with no bounce. It features an adjustable strap and secure buckle, allowing you to fine-tune the fit for training, racing.

Belt size guide:
• Small: 65–85 cm (25–33 in) waist
• Medium–Large: 75–105 cm (30–41 in) waist

 

Running vests

We recommend sizing down if you're between 2 sizes or on the low end of 1 size. 

e.g. 100cm Chest Circumference is better in size small because our durable mesh backing and soft hem can stretch to fit.

The NVlite is available in 5 sizes:

Vest size guide (based on chest circumference):

  • XS: 84 - 94cm 
  • S: 94 - 100 cm
  • M: 100 - 106cm
  • L: 106 - 112 cm
  • XL: 112 - 121 cm

Will it fit all phone sizes?

We have tested each belt and vest with all phone sizes and cases.

Hydration belts (hip)
Our hydration belts will fit most phones, plus keys and 4-6 gels at a time. If you have a pro-max iPhone or similar phone size, we suggest removing your case for easier access during your runs. Check individual product pages for specific fit notes.

Our hydration waist belt (NBreverse), comfortably fits all phone sizes and includes 2 separate zip compartments to hold all your running accessories.

Running vest
The NVlite comfortably fits all phone sizes in the two front pockets, positioned in front of the bottle pouches.

What's the difference between the NB600 and NB600 Groove?

The NB600 groove belt has an ergonomic shape with the bottles angled and grooves to the shape of your hip. As a result, the belt wraps around your hips further, which is said to be more comfortable, based off customer feedback. The NB600 bottles are positioned at the front and is easier to get them in and out quickly during your runs. Some people much prefer this supersized version of the NB400 design.

Are bottles included with the belts?

Yes! All hydrations belts and vests come with bottles. You can also purchase additional bottles as spares.

  • NB200 includes 2 x 200ml bottles OR 4 x 200ml bottles
  • NB400 includes 2 x 200ml bottles
  • NB600 includes 2 x 300ml bottles
  • NB600 Groove includes 2 x 300ml groove bottles
  • NBreverse includes 1 x 550ml bottle
  • NBracer & 200ml flask includes 1 x 200ml flask
  • NVlite incldues 2 x 500ml soft flasks

 

Are belt is suitable for races?

Yes all belts are race-approved.
Many runners use Nerd Belts for marathons, ultras and triathlons, and they’re compatible with the new race bib holders add-ons. If you have a belt already that doesn't have race bib holders (NBreverse and phone belt) get in touch as these are now available to purchase and add to your belt.

Where do you ship to and from?

We ship Australia-wide (express and standard available) and internationally.(standard shipping available). We have 2 fulfilment locations, Australia and 

USA. Orders placed within Australia, Europe, Asia and New Zealand are fulfilled from Australia. Orders placed within the US, Canada and South America are fulfilled from USA.

Who do you ship with?

All orders are shipped via Australia Post and United States Postal service.

How long does shipping take within Australia and USA?

Estimated delivery times (after dispatch):

  • Standard shipping: 2–8 business days
  • Express shipping: 1–4 business days

Delivery times may vary depending on your location and seasonal demand.

How long does international shipping take?

International delivery times vary by country and customs processing.
Estimated delivery is typically 7–21 business days, but delays can occur during peak periods.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. Prices start from $10AUD up to $30AUD.
 

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking email from us with your Australia Post tracking number or United States Postal Service tracking number.

You can track your parcel directly via that link.

My tracking hasn’t updated — what should I do?

Tracking updates can take up to 24–48 hours to appear after dispatch.
If your tracking hasn’t updated after this time, it’s usually still moving through the Australia Post or USPS network.

My tracking number says “Delivered” but I don’t have my parcel?

We recommend:

  1. Checking around your delivery address (was an attempted delivery card left, safe place, neighbours house etc.)
  2. Asking household members or neighbours (we have had situations where a neighbour has collected the parcel on their behalf and forgot to mention/hand it over it for over a month!)
  3. Contacting your local post office if they have it waiting for collection.

If you still can’t locate it, please contact Australia Post OR United States Postal Service (based off your tracking number) and request a proof of delivery image. We are unfortunately unable to request this on your behalf as the sender, it must be the receiver. We can however lodge an enquiry for missing/lost parcels. If this happens, please don't hesitate to reach out for assistance.

My parcel is delayed — what can I do?

Australia Post and USPS delivery times are estimates and may be affected by weather, peak periods or customs delays (for international orders).
If your order is significantly delayed, contact us and we’ll assist. Please note, once in the hands of Aus Post, USPS or customs this is directly out for our control and we can only provide assistance on contacting them for updates.

Can I return or exchange my order?

Yes, we offer returns and exchanges in line with our Returns Policy. Items must be unused and in original condition. Full details are available on our Returns & Exchanges page.

What if I ordered the wrong product?

No stress — fill out this form if it has already been fulfilled or delivered, or email us to edit your order if unfulfilled and we’ll do our best to help before the order ships.

How do I clean my nerd belt?

Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent and air dry.
Do not tumble dry to maintain elasticity and shape.

Are nerd belts waterproof?

They’re sweat-proof and splash-resistant, designed for all weather running.
We recommend protecting electronics during heavy rain.
